1) Store your Hustle Wig on a wig head.

This will help prevent the wig from getting stretched out. This is especially important while when the wig is wet from being washed. 

2) Detangle the nape of the wig after every wear with a wig brush.

This area is most prone to tangling. From the friction of the hair with your clothing or coats, the nape of the wig can tend to get tangled. By using some water or a detangling spray and gently brushing the neck area, you can prevent matting. 

3) Wash your Hustle Wig after 10-15 wears.

Frequency may vary due to climate and preference. In more humid climates, the hair may frizz up faster, while in dryer climates, the hair may start to feel dry faster. A good wash and condition every so often will keep your wig looking and feeling fresh. See below for detailed washing instructions. 

4) Airdry your wig and then style with a hot tool.

This helps prevent frizz and keeps your wig looking fresh between washes.

When it comes to caring for your wig, here are things not to do.

Don't panic if the water is colored the first few washes.

This is normal. Be sure to use warm and not hot water, to preserve the color. With The Hustle Wig, our hair is color treated by the factory before we receive it, and it tends to release some of that extra dye during the first wash or two.  

Don't store your wig directly in Sunlight.

Excessive sun exposure will cause your wig to oxidize quicker. We may not even realize how often our wigs are in the sun. It can be if the wig is stored near a window, or even on a long drive in a car with the sun beating down. We think of being in the sun only when sitting on the beach, but the truth is, just by being outside in the elements, all wigs will oxidize.  

Don't let your wig become tangled.

Detangle it regularly. This will help prevent hair from being pulled out when you need to detangle a massive knot.

STEP 1:

Begin by wetting your Hustle Wig until the entire wig is completely saturated with lukewarm water. Hot water damages the hair.

Gently lather a COLOR SAFE shampoo, focusing on the strands and the inside of the wig cap while avoiding excessive rubbing. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

STEP 2:

Apply a COLOR SAFE conditioner generously and brush the hair to ensure the conditioner is fully dispersed throughout. Allow the wig to sit lathered for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Gently squeeze out the excess water and brush the hair once more.

STEP 3:

For defined waves, scrunch the hair upward with your hand before placing it on the wig head to dry. Once dry, style the wig using heat tools as desired.
